This is the final installment of the Hummingbird Heaven series.

I was exploring the use of watercolor paints flowing along, with floral designs from my imagination.

My husband enjoyed watching hummingbirds and these were painted with that in mind.

A home video taken exactly 10 years ago. There is a surprise at the end.

This painting was inspired by one of my favorite painters, Georgia O’Keefe.

Up Close

This painting is a recent creation that I made while attending a watercolor workshop. The wildflowers were painted by utilizing a technique that creates a layered look.  The flowers are white (attempting to create a negative look), while the leaves, and other foliage are painted various colors to achieve this effect.

Wild Flowers In Hidden Places

I was working with trying to capture the beauty of nature, that I witnessed while taking a walk with my family during a trip to Laguna Beach in California.  We came upon a cove with colorful sand and shells that I tried to recreate in my own way, as a memento of my time spent there.

This is the largest abstract painting that I have attempted to do.  I created an aesthetic feeling by blending water colors in an abstract manner from a muted pastel pallet.

Gladiolus

This painting was created in honor of my grandmother and her roses that she use to grow. When I was a little girl I used to walk across the field, about 1/2 a mile to visit her and she always had huge rose bushes, which I loved to smell.
