Abstract Gladiolus
Monday, October 26th, 2009This is the largest abstract painting that I have attempted to do. I created an aesthetic feeling by blending water colors in an abstract manner from a muted pastel pallet.
This is the largest abstract painting that I have attempted to do. I created an aesthetic feeling by blending water colors in an abstract manner from a muted pastel pallet.
This painting was created in honor of my grandmother and her roses that she use to grow. When I was a little girl I used to walk across the field, about 1/2 a mile to visit her and she always had huge rose bushes, which I loved to smell.
I have always been in awe of the water lily flower and the reflections that they create while glistening in the water. I have taken numerous photos at various locations throughout the country. However, this specific painting is inspired by a set of waterlilies that I captured on film while visiting an arboretum.
