About

Rose Evenson

I have been painting for 22 years and attended University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) with John Engels as the professor.
I have also taken ongoing workshops from Rose Edin, Rawleigh Kinney, Joyce Gow, Charles Beck, Nancy Olson, Ellen Eillers and numerous others.

I have a deep love of nature and have 160 acres of virgin hills.  The land contains an abundance of wild flowers and various wild life, which I draw inspiration from in my work.

I have received numerous ribbons and awards. The most prestigious award was first place in the Regional Art Show in Fargo, North Dakota, with competition from Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Large florals are my favorite subject matter as well as still lives.  I am driven to realism in my paintings, like a single rose blossom 20 inches by 24 inches with depth and volume.  I welcome commissions and have collaborated with interior decorators on several occassions.  Any questions, please contact me.
